Mining is an integral part of the German mountains. It is therefore all the more wonderful that this small work of art from the Erzgebirge around 1900 has been preserved. It was made from gagat with great attention to detail and probably depicts St. Michael, who, together with St. Barbara, is one of the most common patron saints of mines.

Returns
